Chocolate Jar Cake

½ STICK +1 TBSP BUTTER
1 ½ CUP SUGAR
CREAM WELL
ADD 2 EGGS
1 CUP APPLE SAUCE
1 TBSP VANILLA
½ TSP ALMOND FLA.

SIFT TOGETHER & ADD
1 ½ CUP AP Flour
1/3 cup cocoa
½ tsp. soda
¼ tsp. Baking pwd.
Pinch of salt
½ cup chopped pecans
mix well
pour into wide mouth mason jars well greased ½ inch from top.
Bake 45 minutes @ 325*
Make sure there's no wet spots on top.
Install lids while hot and let cool.
Store like any other canned products.
Makes a great gift.
