No Spread Cookie
 


2/3 cup sugar
stick soft butter or margarine
Cream well
Add 1 egg
Almond flavor to taste (1Tbsp)
1 cup flour A.P.
Mix by hand into a fairly stiff dough.
Note it needs to be soft enough to roll out but firm enough to not to be sticky
Roll out on a tea towel floured and thin about 1/8 inch thick.
This cookie will not rise, so thinnest is most important for a crisp tasty cookie.
Decorate with colored sugar etc.

Bake @ 400* aprox 8-10 minutes until a brown edge
