In a fairly large bowl place
2 cups warm water
1/2 cup milk pwd.
Full cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 tsp. Salt
5 cups flour (any) hold back a bit
4 pks. or 4 level tbsp. dry yeast
Mix until a mass then dump onto your table and knead for 5 full minutes (yes you can rest) If using a mixer run in low speed for 10 minutes until smooth.
Let the dough rest about an hour then proceed to make up.
Sweet roll frosting.
To a box of pwd. Sugar put a pinch of salt a shot of vanilla or almond flavor and mix in a spoon of water one at a time until it's smooth and stiff enough to stay on the buns cold. If you like you can add a tbsp. Butter
