Salt Rising Bread #1
 

Corn Meal 2 tbsp
B soda 1/2 tsp
Hot milk (boiling) 1Cup
2 1/2 cups Flour (bread)
1 cup hot water
A pinch of dry yeast
Set above to ferment 18 to 20 hrs

Add
Salt 3 Tsp
Sugar 3 Tsp.
Shortening 3 tsp.
Water 4 oz .
Bread flour 2 1/2 cups
Hold back a bit of flour the dough needs to be firm not stiff.
Knead as normal about 100
Rise and bake.
