Biscuit #1

Place a stick of margarine (softened)
Or butter or 4 oz. shortening in a bowl
1 1/4 cup flour ( any)
a pinch of salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking pwd

Mix everything together in a bowl until it is crumbly about a minute or so.

Stir in about 1/2 cup of cold milk a little at a time and make into a soft dough, use a little flour, work it about a minute.

The dough should be stiff enough to roll out but not wet.

( Important) when making biscuits you need to have them 1/2 as thick as round. Example if you are using a 2" cutter the dough needs to be 1" thick or close !

bake at 400* (fast oven) until the bottoms are light brown.
